“You welcomed him with rich blessings and placed a crown of pure gold on his head” (Psalm 21:3)
If only we could see how warmly the Lord welcomes us and how His “eyes light up” when we come to Him, just to enjoy being with Him, we would show up so much more often. Not from being nagged by a sense of obligation or bullied by guilt or badgered by shame but because we know love awaits us – no matter what condition we show up in. Because we know we are entering a performance-free, pressure-free, grace-full and mercy rich zone with the One who died just to create such a place for us.
So may the Lord grant us a fresh vision of His delight with us today.
