With “covid” restrictions now lifting, you’re eating out with a friend, catching up on the details of your lives. You begin describing something you did or said or why you reacted a certain way as you take another bite of your meal. Then you give up on sharing all the details and with a wave of your hand, you mumble through the mouthful of food, “Well, you know me.” Your friend nods and gives you an “Ummm hmmm.”
The Lord knows you like that. Only much better. He listens to your words but He already knows how you are and always looks forward to your conversations with Him. That is part of the spirit of the invitation to “pray without ceasing” (1 Thessalonians 5:17).
