Like most people, I have fantasized about “hitting the mega-lottery.” What would I do with all that money? How would I keep people from knowing I won? It’s fun to think about. It’s fun to talk about.
Eventually I come back to reality and realize I am already rich, and it’s not a fantasy. Not because I have a whole lot of money, but because I have been given access to the unsearchable riches of Christ Himself, in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge” (Colossians 2:3).
What does this mean? Even if I were homeless, hungry and penniless, my life is rich just because I know Him. And yeah, speaking from personal experience, He really can be that awesome to us, if we want Him to be.
