Life in Christ is about expansion not restriction. By God’s indwelling Spirit we “are being transformed into His image with ever-increasing glory” 2 Corinthians 3:18). That does not mean He is conforming us all to a standard “God template,” it means He is helping us to see life as He sees it, in a more expansive way. He is revealing to us things that were once hidden. It also means He is expanding our love for others, our capacity for joy, and our ability to experience His peace. In general, it involves becoming more of what He created us to be, which is far greater than we ever imagined. Best of all, it means growing in our awareness of His presence and prompting in our lives. In short, life in Christ is about “living large” in its truest sense.
