The Lord awakens our groggy spirits like fresh coffee, a good breakfast and a refreshing shower on a sunny day. He beckons us to follow Him into a new day where, in any moment, anything is possible. In the Lord, our past is not prologue.
But the hidden blessing is even if our routines and circumstances remain the same, the Lord’s unfailing love can move us spiritually, mentally and emotionally to a completely different “place.” Even as we remain in place. No matter what our mood may be, or the spiritual atmosphere that surrounds us, we can lift our voice to the Lord at any time and say, “O satisfy us in the morning with Your unfailing love, that we may sing for joy and be glad all our days” (Psalm 90:14).
