As David pondered the challenges, pitfalls, and the murkiness of his future, he posed this rhetorical question: “Who is the Rock except our God?” (Psalm 18:3). In other words, who or what else, besides God, offers us changeless dependability? The silent answer is, “no one and nothing.”
Attesting to Jesus’s divinity, Paul identified Jesus as the Rock (1 Corinthians 10:4).
So, as we launch our week, let us rejoice that our Rock is not an inanimate, oversize stone, but a risen Savior who is the same yesterday, today and forever.
