Today I was blessed with a creative approach to meditating on the Lord’s word. I imagined a torn portion of a single page of Scripture blowing in the wind and resting against my leg. I picked it up and on it was a highlighted Bible passage. I imagined I was a spiritual seeker who had no knowledge of any other part of the Bible. This one partial page containing one highlighted passage was all I had, and it profoundly impressed me and caused me to pray to God about it.
For the highlighted verse in this imagined scenario, I made it one of my favorite promises that I regularly review before the Lord.
This creative approach gave me a greater focus and fresh desire for the familiar promise, prompting a more engaged and passionate prayer.
The Holy Spirit, residing in us, is a wonderful coach with an infinite repertoire of inspirational strategies to inspire our prayer, refresh our faith and sustain our hope in Christ.
“But the Helper (Comforter, Advocate, Intercessor—Counselor, Strengthener, Standby), the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name [in My place, to represent Me and act on My behalf], He will teach you all things. And He will help you remember everything that I have told you” (John 14:26 AMP).
