The View from My Place – “Every day Christmas Glory”

December 9, 2020 By Dan Baty Leave a Comment

Christmas is fast approaching, but every day in Christ we are blessed with the gifts of His glory.

The Lord is a God of abundance!  Don’t be afraid of using up too quickly the spiritual nourishment the Lord provides. Don’t be afraid of becoming addicted to it or idolizing it. Give thanks! Enjoy! Fully imbibe! It is sanctified greediness. He invites us to open wide. In Him, there is always “more where that came from.”

The Lord is a faithful God!  Don’t be afraid to launch your “pre-prayered” plans. Let the Holy Spirit do His job. Push the button and trust in His guidance. There will always be a need for adjustments in our approaches, perspectives, and decisions. He is faithful to point them out and help us to make them.

The Lord is abounding in lovingkindness!  Don’t be afraid to embrace the greatness of His love for you. You are not just forgiven and accepted by Him. You are adored beyond description. It is only in Christ that we can imagine a love that is perfect in quality, consistency and durability and know that, in reality, His love is greater still. It is beyond all human reasoning, a love that “passeth knowledge.”

And this view from my place, through the lens of the Scripture, is but a glimpse of the gifts of His glory.
