Wow! My heart was freshly impressed this morning by this precious and familiar whole-body-affirming truth:
“From Him the whole body [the church, in all its various parts] joined and knitted firmly together by what every joint supplies, when each part is working properly, causes the body to grow and mature, building itself up in [unselfish] love.” – Ephesians 4:16 (Amplified Version).
I was blessed with the reminder that this includes all believers and each believer. It excludes no believer, neither the youngest nor the eldest. It includes the strongest and the weakest. Every part is “From Him,” and regardless of how anyone else regards it, is a vital contributor to God’s work on earth through the body of Christ. Each believer is “stamped” with a “From Him” seal of God’s validation.
When any believer walks into any church of Jesus Christ, he or she walks in with a “From Him” seal of divine approval. And though there are distinctions in roles and effects, no one’s seal is bigger. No one’s seal is better. No one’s seal is more valuable. There are no bronze, silver or gold distinctions in seals; they all read the same: “From Him.”
So, the love challenge for each of us is to respect the seal. The one we bear and the one borne by others.
