The View from My Place – “He Knew”

September 13, 2023 By Dan Baty Leave a Comment

Jesus paid it all and He knew exactly what He was paying for.
He knew everything about you, (yes EVERYTHING) and He still wanted you!
He knew He was paying for you to enjoy the love relationship that He, the Father and the Spirit enjoy with each other.
He knew He was paying for you to one day see Him in the glory that He had before the world began.
He knew He was paying for you to have forgiveness and forever-favored status with God.
He knew He was paying the price for His Spirit to live in you and share your life with you.
He knew He was paying for you to experience the wonders and mysteries of eternal life.
He knew He was paying for the indescribable and inexpressible joy that often fills your heart.
None of the things you cherish about being in Christ are a surprise to Him. He knew they were part of the gift He was paying for you to receive at His expense.
He wanted it all for you and He paid in full the incalculable price necessary to make all of it available to you.
And knowing your joy gave Him joy, even in His suffering.
“For the joy set before Him He endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God” (Hebrews 12:2).
