For everything we lack, the Lord has an abundance. Whether it is what we give to others, or the wisdom for what faces us personally, our limited resources are not the determining factor of the ultimate outcome.
The classic biblical example is Jesus multiplying the fish and loaves. But we have all been blessed with personal examples as well, such as times when, based on our limited wisdom, we pushed with all our might towards something we would ultimately have regretted; God’s wisdom overrode our ignorance. Or times when we thought what we said or did for another was meager or inadequate, but it turned out to be a much greater blessing to them than we realized; God enhanced our contribution.
Whatever the need, God’s supply line is never impeded, His delivery service is always on schedule, and His warehouses are always full. He knows exactly what is needed, how much is needed and when it is needed.
Understanding this inspires me to give freely and receive with gratitude, without worrying about the ultimate results. I trust in His faithfulness, not my calculations.
