The View From My Place – “Praise Release”

January 6, 2021 By Dan Baty 1 Comment

A Praise Release…
Once upon a time, many years ago,
I was lost, trying to find my way.
I was confused and searching for the truth.
I was looking for the meaning of my life.
I found You. Rather, You found me.
And You were all three:
“I am the way, the truth and the life.”
My quest has now changed.
I am no longer searching,
I want to know more of
The One who has found me.
And regarding that quest for “more” of Him. It occurred to me today that delighting myself in the Lord, brings delight to the Lord. He wants our affection, not just our allegiance. Every time we enter His presence by turning our hearts and attention to Him, we encounter, in the heartwarming and accurate words of WM. Archer Butler, “the unchanged smile of an eternal Friend.” It’s easy to spend time with someone who truly enjoys your company and whose only agenda for you is love.

He is my forever friend. He is closer than a brother. He never let me down, even when I let him down. And yes, He found me and wrapped his lovingarms around me. He is mine and I
am his. Well said, dear Pastor.
