Today I realized the most compelling evidence of the Lord’s faithful, wise, and loving care for my faith is that I keep showing up for more. He is the One inspiring me to keep asking, seeking, and knocking. It is because of Him that I keep taking that next step of faith. My consistency and persistence are His faithfulness on display, not mine.
I keep desiring a deeper connection with Him because I am being given a deeper connection with Him. I desire to know Him better because He has revealed to me there is more of Him to know. Even if I can’t describe in words what knowing Him better looks like, the effects of knowing Him better continue to show up in my life – in my thoughts, my inclinations, in my perception and in my choices. It is because He has allowed me to “taste and see that the Lord is good,” that I keep showing up to taste more of His goodness.
Whenever our hearts turn to God it’s always due to a big assist from God. He is at work in us nurturing our faith in Him, and He will continue to be so until the day of Christ Jesus.
