Knowing Jesus isn’t just about understanding what the Bible says about Him, it’s about experiencing Him in the everyday. Eating breakfast, resolving family conflicts, grocery shopping, tackling a busy workday, or navigating rush hour, these aren’t distractions from experiencing His unsearchable riches. They are the very places where His treasures are found. It is in these everyday moments that His grace, in its infinite forms, is displayed—like diamonds set in a ring, turning ordinary experiences into something precious.
A relationship with Christ isn’t just about checking off behaviors to pursue or avoid; it’s a growing realization that His life is woven into ours. It’s embracing the truth that He isn’t simply the key to resolving our problems or gaining earthly blessings; He Himself is the ultimate blessing. And life, in all its ups and downs, is the means He uses to make that paramount truth real to us.
When we believe this, life is no longer a string of random events. Whether pleasant blessings rain down or challenges mount, we see a path leading us ever closer to Him. That’s why we’re encouraged to fix our eyes on Him and to keep seeking Him as our greatest desire.
As Paul the apostle, fully aware of the unparalleled opportunity before us, said so simply and powerfully: “I want to know Christ.”
