As I face my day, I look around my present circumstances, whatever they may be, and behold, grace is there!
“Where is it?” I may ask.
It is in my mind, in the things I already know, the familiar Bible verse, the favorite song and the friend’s phone number.
It is in my senses, in the warmth of the sun, the wetness of the rain, and the breeze upon my face.
It is in my spirit, in the faith that prompts me to pray, the perseverance for yet another step, and the reassuring touches from the Master’s hand through His Spirit.
It is in my emotions, being moved by the greeting card that arrived yesterday, warmed by the smile of a stranger, or by the laughter of a child.
As it is written, “My grace is sufficient for you…” (2 Corinthians 12:9). Grace for my present place is here. I ask the Lord to reveal it; I receive it with gratitude, and by faith in Him, it becomes even more vivid.
