“Who is like the LORD our God, who sits enthroned on high?” (Psalm 113:5).
He often surprises but is never random. (His actions might be unexpected, but they are always intentional.)
He is humorous but not vulgar. (His humor is always tasteful, clever, and uplifting.)
He is powerful but not oppressive. (His unlimited strength is never used to overpower our will.)
He is wise but not pretentious. (His wisdom is profound, yet He never parades it.)
He is gentle but not feeble. (His tenderness is rooted in strength.)
He is accessible but not ordinary. (He is open to us yet remains the King of the Universe.)
He is patient but not idle. (He is always actively engaged.)
He is loving but not indulgent. (His love is profound but does not cater to our every whim.)
He is steadfast but not rigid. (He is faithful to His nature and plans, yet He adapts to our needs and circumstances.)
He is compassionate but not weak. (He recognizes the necessary place for hardship and distress.)
He is firm but not severe. (His truth is uncompromising but His Spirit conditions us to believe it and receive it.)
He is invisible but not missing. (He is ever-present and will never forsake us.)
He is creative but not chaotic. (His actions often have flair, yet they are always deliberate.)
He is the essence of Life but never overbearing. (He gives us every breath but never imposes Himself upon us.)
He is all that we desire and more than we can imagine. (He satisfies our innermost yearnings and surpasses all our expectations.)
Who is like the Lord? The obvious answer is no one!
