The View from My Place – Why Not Today?

November 13, 2024 By Dan Baty Leave a Comment

Imagine a day when every knee bends and every voice unites to declare Jesus as Lord. This future event is promised in the scriptures, (Philippians 2:9-11) but why wait until that day to start living in its truth?

Right now, we have the incredible choice to place our trust in Him. His offer stands: forgiveness for our sins and an eternal relationship with Him instead of an eternity without Him. But this isn’t just a promise for the future—it’s a reality we can embrace today. Jesus, as Lord, holds the power to grant eternal life right now to everyone who believes.

What if you seized this moment? Think of the mysteries and wonders that may await you. What new paths might shine bright? What heavy burdens might be lifted? What profound joys might unfold?

Every day, all of us—believers and those who have yet to believe—have the chance to bow our hearts in awe of His unsearchable love, His boundless power, and His perfect wisdom.

Doing so brings a touch of Heaven into our everyday lives. We receive the peace that comes from trusting in His sovereign care, and we experience the fullness of life that flows from being united with Him, as He walks with us each step we take.

So, let’s not wait for a future event to recognize His greatness. Let’s grasp it today, trusting Him to reveal His glory in our lives in ways beyond our imagination. Jesus is Lord, today and forever.
