Who Has It Better Than Us?

Tuesday reminders for believers, “even though you know them and are firmly established in the truth you now have” (1 Peter 1:12).

Why is the gospel “good news?” Through faith in Christ, you have been freed from the prison walls of sin that separated you from God. There is no longer a barrier between you and Him.

There is no threat of a return to prison, for you have not only been pardoned, but you have also been promoted to “Righteousness of God” status and have been adopted by Him as a forever member of His royal family. Now nothing, no powers of earth or Hell itself, not your present and future struggles with sin can ever separate you from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus. For “God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not counting their trespasses against them… God made [Jesus] who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in [Jesus] we might become the righteousness of God”

(2 Corinthians 5:19,21).
