“Be anxious for nothing, but in everything with prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God, and the peace of God that surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus” (Philippians 4:6-7 NASB).
This is one of the most magnificent and all-encompassing promises in the Scriptures. The two superstars of this “Promise Team” are the words “Nothing” and “Everything.” No human experience, internal or external, can escape those two words. No experience is exempted, regardless of its cause or its nature. There is no “play” the enemy can call that this divine defense is not equipped to handle.
Thank You, Lord, for always providing just what I need. A reassuring reminder. A heart touch. A fresh insight. A place in You just to “be” and to rest. My heart trusts in You and I am helped. You are my refuge from all that threatens or assaults my spirit and sense of wellbeing.
