I find it comforting to hear a sermon about “messing up” because after 41 years of walking with Jesus Christ, I realize messing up is all I can do. In this life, I will never ever, ever, ever attain Christ-like perfection. All I can do is surrender and allow Him through His Spirit to mold me and shape me in His likeness. And since I still am in the flesh, my “surrender” will not be anything but imperfect. Also, because my will is involved and my understanding of the things of God so woefully lacking, I cannot do anything but mess up! But knowing that Jesus Christ has already won my battle for me (I feel a shout coming on!), I can know deep down in my spirit I (but not I but Him) will ultimately emerge as the victor over my struggles!!

Praise God forevermore! I give thanks for you dear brother for preparing this sermon just for me (big smile)!
