Key Ideas
- Glory in His holy name. How do you feel wearing that new outfit. Those new shoes. Riding in that freshly washed car. When the family is gathered, and the time is light and fun. In the same way, make it a matter of joy that You have such a God as ours in Your life. And let your heart be glad.
- As often as anxieties arise, when you are tempted to fret or tempted to think, “We need to do something.” The thing I want us all to do is pray about those three things. 1) Know Him. 2) Love each other. 3) Release our effects and resources.
- The purpose of miracles and deliverances is not to lead us into happily-ever-after. The purpose is to deepen our trust in the Lord so we handle the next challenge with greater faith, greater peace, joy and confidence.
- God delivered us from that crisis, but learning from the mis-example of Israel, we continued to pray for those things as a protective coating, as preparation for the next crisis. They appear on the back of the bulletin every Sunday as prayer prompts for our church.
- Let your heart be glad for the work God is doing in you to liberate the gifts, effects and resources He has given you to build up the body.
