Our text is Acts 4:12: “Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved.”

What kind of name is it?

    It’s a worthy name.
    • Worthy of our praise and adoration.

    It’s a loving name.
    • A love that surpasses knowledge.

    It’s an all-powerful name.
    • The power to heal the lame.
    • The power over nature.
    • The power to change lives.

Yet, it’s also a gentle and humble name.
    • Matthew 11:28 – “Come to me all who are weart…”

    It’s an eternal name.
    • Revelation 1:18 “I am the living one who was dead and now I am alive forever and ever.”

    It’s an all-wise name.

    It’s an all-inclusive name.
    • We’ve gotten past a lot in race relations, but we’ve still got so much to overcome.
    • But the name of Jesus was never segregated. It was always all-inclusive.
o “For God so loved the world that He gave His only Son that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life.
o John 6:37 Whoever comes to me, I will never drive away.
o Galatians 3:28 “There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus”
o Ephesians 2:19 – “Therefore you are no longer strangers and foreigners, [you are not “other” or an outsider] but fellow citizens with the saints and members of God’s household”
o Romans 10:13 for, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”

    It’s a wonderful name.
The name of Jesus is so sweet,
    I love its music to repeat;
It makes my joys full and complete,
    The precious name of Jesus.
